The 2024 Wild West Shootout is just around the corner, so grab your horse and make your way from Chicago to Denver. If your pony can’t make the trip, maybe it’s time to book the Iron Horse. Share a car with friends while playing backgammon from sundown to sunup. In addition to the epic ride, The Denver Backgammon club will be sponsoring a live tourney on the train, which includes trophies for the winner and runner up, as well as the winner’s registration fee ($60 value). Before and after the tourney, partake in the Chou Chou, or perhaps heads up.

The train departs from Chicago at 2:00p on Monday, October 14 (click HERE for additional stations in route), and arrives at Denver Union Station around 8:00a on Tuesday, October 15 . At the time of this publishing, you can book coach for $155, but hurry as the train is filling up. Grab your bag, your board and some snacks and catch the train. Once you arrive in Denver, the Embassy Suites is a short Uber ride away.
