The Backgammon Masters Awarding Body (BMAB) confers mastership titles and proficiency level certificates based on calculated error rate performance (using eXtremeGammon) in live clocked matches in tournament conditions. It is the central hub of the Backgammon Masters Series Group whose fundamental goal is to promote backgammon as a leading international mind-sport.

BMAB Tournament Format
The Wild West BMAB is a modified round robin format, 4 matches, 13 points per match (4 x 13 = 52 Experience Points). All matches must be clocked in accordance with both BMAB and National Federation requirements. All matches played in the tournament are included in the submission to BMAB.  Clocks and recording devices will be provided, as well as match transcription.

Player’s Cup Backgammon Now Included!
Player’s Cup Backgammon transforms previously standalone BMAB events into an annual circuit, creating a thrilling and interconnected series for backgammon enthusiasts. Events are generally hosted at premier backgammon tournament events such as the Wild West Shootout

At each Player’s Cup Backgammon event, participants will earn circuit stars contributing to the annual race, with stars awarded for placement, winning rounds, and participation. The competition is fierce, and every match played, regardless of outcome, adds to the excitement and camaraderie of the circuit.
